12. Compassion for Others

Commentary

Observing how we treat others as we interact with them. Do our actions lead to them having mismatched waves? What fears/wishes to we create? Awareness of effects. Compassion for others come naturally from compassion for the self. Also the vow to not take or even harm life (including vegetarianism) made during Vipassana retreats helps, as we are already a bit more aware of the extremes and from there can bring it back to the every day interaction. Living rationally allows us to explain our actions, however living compassionately is a felt, not an evaluated, lifestyle. The ability to rationalise uncompassionate actions does not justify them.
